A Canadian powerlifter, Avi Silverberg, has set a new record in a women’s competition, breaking the previous record set by a trans athlete, Anne Andres. Silverberg entered the competition, held in Lethbridge, Alberta, as a female athlete, despite being a man with a full beard.
The transgendered fighter Fallon Fox competed against women, despite being born as a man. In Fox’s second fight, Fox took only 30 seconds to knock out Ericka Newsome with a knee.
At today’s Senate Judiciary Committee hearing, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) questioned HRC President Kelley Robinson and Riley Gains about women’s sports.
