Despite what you see online, MOST people in the world have no clue who I am. I’m just some random blind dude with a stick feeling my way down the sidewalk. My theory on why people get quiet is because they are thinking maybe I’m relying on sound to navigate the world and they don’t wanna mess up my echolocation. The more cynical part of me thinks that they don’t’ want me to hear them because they don’t want me to know they are there so I can ask them for help. Either way, it happens a LOT. I leave a wave of silence behind me everywhere I walk and it’s kind of weird.
