The LGBTQ community is often thrust into the center of national politics against their will with the passing of certain discriminatory laws. For Pride Month 2023, we headed to the front lines to see just how dangerous these gay and transgender people actually are.
Just earlier this month, a school board meeting at Saticoy Elementary School in North Hollywood turned violent after controversy over a scheduled Pride event came to a head. Parents on both sides of the issue squared off in dueling demonstrations. In general, Trump supporters and conservatives have been increasingly homophobic as they continue to pass anti-LGBTQ laws. Figures like Matt Walsh and Michael Knowles lead the charge to ‘eradicate transgenderism from society” as they say. We asked people questions regarding Donald Trump, Governor DeSantis, and Governor Kim Reynolds.
