Being a blind surfer, skater and doing everything else active out there in the world, I tend to suffer my fair share of injuries. I mean…I basically get hurt pretty much every time I go out there. Just like my blindness though, I refuse to let these injuries and inconveniences stop me from doing what I want to do. Is there a greater risk of me getting hurt because I can’t see what I’m doing? Of course. That doesn’t mean I shouldn’t do anything though. Staying at home and staying safe is a sure way to get depressed. Trust me. I’ve been there.
