People CONSTANTLY ask me if my other sense are heightened now that I’ve lost my sight. I mean…..no. that’s not how it works. Ou don’t get an upgrade on other stuff just because one thing craps out. What you do get is the opportunity to work really really hard on making what functioning senses you’ve got left work harder to try and make up for a little tiny bit of the difference. Do I hear better than anyone else? Not even a little. Do I pay more attention to my hearing though? you bet I do.
